Florida, USA – After countless deaths from war, bombings, diseases, migrant drownings, and hunger, the world has finally snapped after a 22-year-old singer from New Jersey was shot outside The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida around 10:45 pm local time on Friday, June 10th.
American singer Christina Grimmie, who gained popularity when she joined the TV contest The Voice, was shot outside the concert venue by an unknown assailant while she was signing autographs. Grimmie’s brother was able to tackle the shooter who then shot himself dead on the spot.
Fans and celebrities worldwide voiced their grief and shock over the singer’s death on social media. The hashtag #RIPChristina became trending topic on Twitter once her death has been confirmed.
“It was a truly shocking news,” exclaimed a Grimmie’s fan. “I mean, we always read the news about hundreds and thousands of people being killed around the world everyday but this one truly hit me hard.”
People are expected to recover approximately 2 days after Grimmie’s funeral.
