Duterte Defends Himself Against Critics, Says Cayetano Not Around

Davao City – Following the tirades of criticism against him for his recent antics, President Duterte fired back at his critics and scolded them for not voting for Cayetano as his VP in the recent elections.

“I’ve told you over and over during the campaign period, if you’re not going to vote for Alan do not vote for me,” said the incoming president. “You only voted for me so everything wrong that’s happening now is all your fault.”

Duterte has gained flak over his recent comment about media personnel killings. He also drew ire over his actions at a recent press conference where he whistled at a broadcast journalist instead of answering her question.

It can be recalled that in one of the campaign ads of the tough-talking president, he asked the nation to vote for Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as well. Cayetano would have served as his adviser to tell him what to do and what not to do.

Cayetano ranked third in the vice presidential position in the May 2016 elections.
