China to Send Instant Noodles to Soldiers in Marawi

Beijing, China – In an apparent answer to the United States providing technical assistance to help the Philippine Army in ending the siege in Marawi City, the Chinese government has pledged to send 500 kilograms of instant noodles to help ease the hunger of the soldiers.

In a news briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang voiced the Chinese government’s support to President Duterte’s government in ridding itself of the terrorists in Mindanao and thus promised instant noodles for the hungry soldiers.

“We recognize our friendship with President Rodrigo Duterte and diplomatic ties with his government,” said Lu, “and we are hereby giving all the help we can give in their fight against terrorism.”

It is not yet confirmed whether hot water will also be provided or if it will be shouldered by the Philippine government.
